Cavendish Nuclear is making Waves at Sellafield

The Sellafield Waves Awards, is an internal awards scheme set up by our customer Sellafield Ltd to recognise and celebrate the work of employees, teams, and partners across the business.

At this year’s awards, colleagues in Cavendish Nuclear were recognised in two categories.

Cavendish Nuclear’s Jordan Martin, an Instrument Mechanic in the Radiometric Protect Instrumentation Team, was awarded the Sellafield Waves Life Saver Award. Jordan used lifesaving skills from his site training to provide treatment outside of work – a fantastic example of how Cavendish Nuclear is an integral part of the communities we work in.

In addition, Cavendish Nuclear’s Mechanical Assembly and Electrical, Control and Instrumentation teams at our Whetstone facility, assisted by our Analytical Services Team, were awarded the Sellafield Waves award for a One Team approach.  This recognised the work they delivered for our Sellafield customer to complete some Pressure and drop load Package Product tests, all delivered during lockdown restrictions and measures.
